I wanted to investigate how the culture of instantaneous communication (text and IM), is affected the computerization of text and speech, and how can we can further develop a language-based system that helps users visualize text or speech using these cultural interfaces. I explored on developing a language-based system to help users visualize text or speech that convey emotions. Using text analysis based on the IBM tone analyzer API, I transformed recorded sound into computer data, then generated visual imageries and analyzed the tone of my text. Later, I converted the resulting images of 3D spectrums into 3D models using Rhino, then 3d printed the spectrums.
